Director of Finance & Business Operations - Brunswick, GA
A Senior Seat That Has Not Existed Here Before
D&D Decorators has been in business since 1986. We are the largest painting contractor in Glynn County, with more than 50 employees and work running year round across residential and commercial projects.
In forty years, no one has held this seat. The Director of Finance reports directly to the President and owns the financial and business side of the company: reporting, planning, controls, job costing, and the systems the office runs on. You are not stepping into someone else’s structure. You are building the one the next decade runs on.
SENIOR LEADERSHIP · REPORTS TO THE PRESIDENT · 4.5-DAY WORK WEEK
What the Director of Finance Owns
Financial Leadership
Accounting, financial close, reporting and reconciliation. Budgets, forecasts, cash-flow projections and financial models. Profitability, overhead and working capital. The analysis leadership uses to make decisions, and the relationships with our CPA, bank and insurance partners.
Controls and Accounting Oversight
Internal controls and approval structures. Documented accounting procedures and reporting standards. Review of significant transactions and variances. Supervision of bookkeeping and accounting work.
Job Economics and Management Information
Job costing and project profitability. Estimated versus actual labor and material performance. Gross margin and operating trends. Performance indicators and management dashboards that department leaders actually use.
Business Operations and Planning
Administrative and business-office process improvement. Integration between financial and operating systems. Software and reporting tool evaluation. Annual planning, capital and staffing analysis, and cross-functional improvement work.

Here’s What You’ll Get With Us
A Real Seat, Not a Title
You report directly to the President. There is no layer between you and the person making decisions, and no corporate office in another state setting your priorities. Accounting and administrative staff report up through this role.
A Four and a Half Day Week
Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Friday, 8:00 AM to noon. The office is closed Friday afternoon through the weekend, every week.
A Blank Slate
The company runs on QuickBooks and Jobber. Job costing, reporting standards, dashboards and internal controls are yours to design. You are not inheriting somebody else’s system.
Locally Owned Since 1986
Forty years in business, owned and operated by the same family. No private equity, no corporate parent, no outside investors setting the agenda from somewhere else.
Room That Is Not Capped
This role is defined by what the person in it can handle. As the company grows, the scope grows with it. We are not going to promise a title we have not created yet, and we are not going to draw a ceiling either.
A Business You Can See All Of
Fifty-plus employees, residential and commercial work, crews in the field year round. Small enough that one person can hold the whole picture, large enough that the decisions carry weight.
Benefits
Paid holidays, paid vacation and a company retirement plan. Specifics are covered in the interview.
