Summary of the Position

A33Anticipate the need for change ordersKnow the “Word Track” for a proper response to a customer’s questions regarding their expectations of what the job includes versus identified specifications and scope of work; Give a positive response that we can do the work for an additional charge … instead of a negative response that gives the impression that we don’t want to do additional work; Identify the additional tasks required to do the job as required by the customer; Provide an estimate of the costs and time required to complete; Call the office if there are any questions or concerns on the part of the customer; Look around the home for needed repairs that the customer may not have seen; Identify things that may be beyond the scope of carpentry or painting but that the customer might appreciate our pointing out to them; Also look for needs in areas where we are not working; For example if you are working inside, does the outside need attention; Does a bath/laundry need work; Does the customer know we also do faux finishes, wallpaper, and garage floors?; Beginning extra work without having signed change order will result in the cost of the change order being deducted from the Gross Bonus. If CEO signs off-no foul here.

NOTE: Timesheets must have a description of work done.; Call in orders for any needed material for next day delivery; Review time cards; Finalize Work Order for day with % complete for each task; File Work Order at office; Failure to turn in job tickets before you leave for the day in the designated file for job tickets will result in a $25 deduction per job ticket from the Gross Bonus.; Compiling and reporting of all job related costs and activities on a daily basis; Maintain accurate Job Cost records; Report them to the Project Manager or to the office as required; Failure to turn in the billing report by Tuesday at 5 pm to the administrator will result in a $40 deduction from the Gross Bonus; Know the pay rates of all those working on his project; Keep copies of all materials purchased or used on the job; Be aware of the budget and inform the office of the progress; Special attention should be taken if it is clear that the progress does not match with the budgeted time; Make timely corrections to the budget and project scope so that a job can stay on time and on budget; If a job is billed for 100% completion and job is not complete there will be a $50 deduction from the Gross Bonus.; Failure to prepare for weekly production meeting will result in a $25 deduction from Gross Bonus.

The Carpenter Supervisor is one of the highest levels of skill in our company.
